Week 4: Advanced Camp: Color Wars
Event: The Highland Color Championship
This is not your average camp week. Advanced Camp takes Pony Camp to the next level with bigger challenges, stronger competition, and unforgettable summer nights. This week, riders enter the Highland Color Championship where teams battle for the title of Color Wars Champions.
Campers are divided into color teams and spend the week competing for points, bragging rights, and ultimate victory. Every ride, every challenge, and every event matters as teams work their way toward the championship.
Each day includes riding competitions, relay races, barn games, horsemanship challenges, team obstacle courses, and advanced riding contests designed for older riders looking for more independence and challenge. Team spirit is everything, and campers are encouraged to show it through team chants, color themed outfits, barn decorations, and friendly competition.
Because this is an evening camp, the entire week feels different. Riders enjoy sunset lessons, late evening games, special team events, and the kind of summer camp memories that only happen after the sun starts to go down.
Special campfire nights with s’mores, team bonding, and late night laughs make this one of the most memorable weeks of the summer. Camp staff serve as judges, scorekeepers, and team rivals as they keep the competition close and the energy high.
By the final night, one team will be crowned the Highland Color Champions after the final showdown and closing celebration.
Advanced Camp is open to riders ages 8 to 18 and welcomes riders from other barns, creating a fun and competitive environment for all experience levels.
Color Wars is more than camp. It is a full experience built around competition, confidence, and unforgettable summer nights.
